Australia Japan Society - ACT

Student Exchange

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN STUDYING IN JAPAN?

The 2009 AJS ACT Student Exchange Scholarship Applications are NOW OPEN.

The 2009 application forms are now available to download. The closing date for these applications is Monday 15th September 2008. Early submission is highly recommended, as late applications will not be accepted.

Student exchange is a once in a lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in the language, culture and daily life of a foreign country. A 12-month exchange allows you to become part of the community, achieve fluency in the language, travel and make new friends.

Each year the Society selects students for 12-month scholarships to Japan. Successful applicants will attend school and live with a Japanese family. In return, Japanese students will come to Australia for 12 months and live with the families of our successful applicants. Departures for Japan are in February 2009.

The scholarship is available to students of Australian citizenship studying Japanese in Years 11 and 12 at ACT secondary schools.

Closing date for applications is Monday 15 September 2008.
